We want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of Kaleidoscope Dance Academy, and for being a part of our family and community. We know that the performing arts fills different needs for everyone and we are working hard to ensure that we are still able to continue to meet those needs.
During these uncertain times, Kaleidoscope is taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our global community. We are all very sad that we will have our doors closed for in-studio classes until April 17. KDA will continue to follow the lead of the Arkansas school district . We miss you all so much, but staying home is what is necessary. We are excited to be in your living room through virtual classes.
Starting Monday, March 30th, we will be hosting virtual classes. You can join these classes live on your device or computer. KDA purchased a subscription with Zoom to make this possible and we very excited about teaching in this new and innovative way. Dancers at home can pick from all of the group class lessons and take as many as they would like and then each recital dance will be assigned another time during the week, live with the choreographer.
This week, Ms. Heather and our Krew tested this program and were very happy by the technology and personal touch it offers. I know we are all yearning for more social time and being around more people. This should fill a part of that burden while also continuing your dance training. This is new for us, and we expect a few bumps in the road, so please be patient as we get this going.
Another way KDA is bringing dance into your homes, is by offering FB live feed dance classes (these will be posted on our FB page and Instagram), Youtube uploads, and links to live free classes around the country.
While we are very sad that we are not going to see your children for a while, we are praying with everyone that as we “flatten the curve” together we will be able to get back to our dance family soon. Updates will come as we continue to adapt to the situation. Until then, we will dance from our hearts in our homes… together.
