Joshoua "Cricket" Vang was born in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Arkansas at the age of 12. He started his passion of dance during high school with an emphasis on underground Hip Hop street styles such as Locking, Popping, House, and Waacking. Traveling around the south, he has battled in numerous underground hip hop battles. It was in 2012 at Kollaboration Tulsa, he was given the title of "Best Freestyle Dancer."
He is also a member of numerous groups such as Soul Republik Dance Troupe, Ghost Squad, and Fresh Elite Krew. Under the guidance of these groups, he has went on to perform and compete at local events and competitions where his choreography has won national titles. He has also performed as a dancer with Rich Homie Quan and Ginuwine. He recently performed in the annual Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City's Diplomatic Ball, and also co-choreographed a routine for the annual Wal-Mart Shareholder's Meeting in 2017.
Recently graduated from the University of Arkansas, he plans to pursue dance in the highest degree possible. Joshoua continued his education in dance by attending Tremaine, NUVO, 24/7, World of Dance, KAR, and Triumph National Talent Conventions and also attended the 2017 Build a Beast convention in Los Angeles. His connections have brought in world known dancers for master classes at Kaleidoscope such as the Lor Brothers, a duo of the Kinjaz.
Kaleidoscope proudly welcomes Josh into his third year of teaching and choreographing at our studio. He has brought a whole new level to Hip Hop in Northwest Arkansas.
